In October 2023 Stretton Parish Council undertook a consultation on installing some inclusive play equipment at the Jubilee Playing Field, off Hillfield Lane.
The reasons for adding the equipment at Jubilee Playing Field – carpark adjacent, easily accessible, available space within the play area which Bitham Lane Community Park does not have.
The consultation informed on the type of equipment with the see-saw and roundabout preferred.
Unfortunately the weather was not kind, delaying the start of the installation for many weeks and then hindered completion.
Along with the new inclusive see-saw and roundabout which can be used by wheelchair users, the trampoline was upgraded and two game boards installed.
